Streaming services have recently become overwhelmingly popular and easy to access at an affordable $6 to $9 a month at the cheapest, depending on the streaming service. The most well known services are Netflix, Hulu, and the newest addition is Disney Plus. All these companies offer thousands of options, but the question is which streaming service is the best choice? How big of a part do the prices and TV show and movie variety play in choosing your next streaming choice?
One of the most vital parts when debating these streaming services is price. Netflix is currently asking $8.99 per month on the Basic Plan which allows you to stream on one device at a time, but it’s not high definition. The next option they offer is the Standard Plan which is $12.99 per month which allows streaming on two devices at once in HD. Their final option is the Premium which is $15.99 per month and allows you to stream on 4 devices at once in 4K.
Hulu, on the other hand, offers the Basic Plan for $5.99 a month which includes ads. The Premium Plan of Hulu costs $11.99 a month with no ads. Finally, you have Disney Plus which offers the monthly fee of $6.99 or the yearly fee of $69.99.
Another important factor when deciding the best option for streaming is the variety in what you can stream. Netflix offers around 5,579 TV shows and movies. On the other hand, Hulu offers around 4,150 TV shows and movies. Disney Plus is the service that is lacking. They have a little over 600 TV shows, movies, and documentaries to offer because they are restricted to titles that Disney owns, unlike Hulu or Netflix.
Overall, Netflix is probably the best option. Although they are slightly pricier, they offer thousands more options, as well as originals that you can’t find anywhere else like. Hulu and Disney are a bit more limited and don’t have as many shows to offer. However, if you are looking for a specific show or movie, then finding out which service offers that one in particular is best for your interest.
