On April 16th, 2019, my dad and I went to Cattleman’s Roadhouse in Georgetown to see what all the craze was about. This is a small, locally owned chain in the state of Kentucky with eight locations, including Georgetown and Frankfort. Expect to see on the menu steak, chicken and a few seafood dishes. For an extra $2.99 a salad bar can be added to your entree, and bottomless bread is provided at the table as well.

When ordering a drink they have a wide selection of beverages, such as Pepsi products, sweet and unsweetened iced tea, chocolate and regular milk, and coffee.. They also have a selection of juices including orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice. The drink of my choice was sweet tea. It had the perfect amount of sweetness which complemented the meal very well.

My meal started off by making your own salad at the bar. Multiple varieties of leaves were laid out for customers to choose which one they would like. I chose a green lettuce and topped it with cheddar cheese, fresh carrots, crunchy croutons, and Caesar dressing. The salad dressing was light and creamy, with a rich flavor.

The freshly baked yeast rolls delivered to our table were soft and buttery. The bread was Cattleman’s very own concoction of cinnamon, sugar and butter. When the bread roll and cinnamon butter combination is put together it has a sweet and savoury flavor. This is the perfect way to start off a meal.

For the main proportion of the meal, I selected the Cattleman’s 8oz choice top sirloin priced at $12.99. I ordered the savory meat cooked medium well with juice seeping through the sides of the steak. It was loaded with seasoning to give you a mouth full of astonishing flavors. The sirloin was firm and crispy on the outside but tender on the inside, making it melt inside your mouth.

A baked potato was ordered for my side. The cooked vegetable was bursting with flavor. The outside skin was crisped to a brown and the inside was stuffed with butter and sour cream along with salt and pepper. Other side choices include seasoned fries, southwest rice, sweet potatoes, white cheddar mac & cheese, country green beans or steamed veggies.

Not only is the food incredibly scrumptious, but the service provided by the wait staff is amazing. All workers were very polite, patient and helpful when it came to figuring out what I wanted to order.

Cattleman’s Roadhouse is amazing for dining out with family and friends. They serve Lunch between the hours of 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. and dinner from 3 P.M. to 10:30 P.M.

For all the great food and service that you receive, the prices are an amazing deal. It’s prices are way more appropriate rather than other steakhouses that charge almost $30 per steak.
